Our Founder
PUKRA's vision is shaped by its founder, Dr. V. Rajendran, an experienced interventional cardiologist and the Chairman & Managing Director of PUKRA Super Specialty Hospital. He is an MBBS graduate from Madras Medical College, holds an MD in Internal Medicine from Kilpauk Medical College, and has completed DNB and DM (Cardiology) from Madras Medical College. He brings together strong academic training and over three decades of hands-on experience in managing complex cardiac diseases. Widely regarded for his ethical, patient-first approach in Coimbatore, Dr. Rajendran has decades of experience in handling high-risk and complex cardiac cases.
Guided by his leadership, PUKRA has grown from Kovai Heart Foundation into a super specialty hospital anchored by the PUKRA Integrated Cardiac Center, while retaining the same discipline, compassion, and commitment to clinical excellence that defined its early years. His vision is to provide metro-level tertiary care with a humane touch, making advanced treatments accessible and affordable for families in and around Coimbatore.
